Love Is Blind season 9 star Jordan Keltner is opening up about watching his show fiancée, Megan Walerius, bond with his 5-year-old son.
“It just came so organically and natural,” Jordan, 30, said on the Wednesday, October 15, episode of franchise alum AD Smith’s “What’s the Reality?” podcast. “They were just two peas in a pod. It was just, like, ‘I’m making the right choice here [and] I picked the right person.’”
Jordan and Megan — who first introduced herself as “Sparkle Megan” due to her affinity for all things bling — had discussed Jordan’s life as a single father in the pods. The pair especially bonded after Jordan revealed son Luca, whom he shares with a past partner, has type 1 diabetes. Megan’s father, who died ahead of filming, previously battled the same type of diabetes.
After Jordan proposed to Megan, 35, sight unseen, they returned to Denver, Colorado, to figure out how to blend their lives.
“I didn’t ever want her to feel like she had to jump in headfirst and do all this [and] help me be a family with Luca,” Jordan said on Wednesday’s episode. “I just didn’t feel like that was her responsibility. … I don’t think I’ve ever been in a relationship where we operated so fluidly as a team, you know, we almost just could read each other’s minds.”
He continued, “She just took such good care of me, and always made sure that I was just taken care of. She just understood my position.”
In the latest batch of Love Is Blind episodes, Megan revealed that she met Luca and his mother, neither of whom appear on the show.

“That was a family decision because I had kind of teetered back and forth on having Luca onscreen,” Jordan explained on the podcast. “At that moment it was very important to tell my story and our story and Luca’s story, but his mom was like, ‘This is not a good idea. I didn’t sign up for the experiment [and] Luca didn’t sign up for the experiment.’”
According to Jordan, he and his ex had “some healthy discussion” about whether to allow Luca to film scenes for Love Is Blind.

“We were just like, ‘OK, let’s just not,’” he recalled. “To bring such a young child into this global platform [is difficult.] I’m a ‘live and let live’ kind of guy, but I didn’t think that a kid can really consent to it. He has no idea the scale of things, so we kept him off. I’m so glad we did.”
Jordan also revealed that Luca’s mom went “back and forth” about whether she would appear on the dating show herself.
“They wanted to get the first dinner with him on camera, and I’m glad they didn’t because I have such a terrible sense of humor sometimes,” Jordan quipped. “[Luca’s mom] is a very private person, and I think everyone should respect that. Going on TV’s not for everybody and you often don’t have total control on how things are portrayed, and that was her choice to do that.”
Jordan further noted that Kinetic Content, the company that produces Love Is Blind, was “very respectful” of the entire situation.
“So, [I have] no regrets on that,” he concluded.
It’s not currently known whether Jordan and Megan will say “I do,” especially after a major fight at the end of the latest batch of episodes, during which Megan called out her fiancé for not saying much during daily conversations.
