Barbie Ferreira’s 2026 Oscars look left Us in a state of euphoria.
The Euphoria alum, 29, showed off her figure in a royal blue gown as she stepped out on the red carpet at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, on Sunday, March 15. The stunning dress, designed by Zac Posen from GapStudio, featured a low-cut corset top and a full skirt with a bow on the back. Ferreira completed her elegant ensemble with Old Hollywood-style waves in her hair, a neutral lipstick and subtle silver jewelry.
Ferreira, who starred as Kat Hernandez in the first two seasons of Euphoria, attended the Oscars ahead of her new film Mile End Kicks, which hits theaters on April 17.
The actress’ awards show appearance comes years after she opened up about body positivity and self-image.
“I was very insecure with my body for a long time,” the model told InStyle in 2019, relating her personal journey with self-confidence to that of her Euphoria character, whose own struggles with body image were documented on the show. “I was absorbing all this media bullshit that basically told me I have to change, and that every woman has to adhere to a certain beauty standard.”
In 2020, Ferreira shared that she still struggles with body image.
“Sometimes I’m like, ‘I’m the hottest girl in the world!’ And sometimes I’m like, ‘I’m the ugliest girl in the world!’ That doesn’t come from logic, and I essentially look the same in both scenarios, but it’s just my feeling,” she told the Los Angeles Times. “Sometimes I love talking about it, and sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I’m fed up that I have to even acknowledge my body. People don’t ask thin people: ‘How do you have the confidence to go outside? How do you have the confidence to wear clothes?’ I have been called brave just for existing my whole life.”

In a 2022 interview with Who What Wear, Ferreira got candid about the pressure “of being this person who loves themselves.”
“I think bigger bodies are not as ‘trendy’ as they used to be, which is really sad to me,” she explained. “But it’s more of a conversation of the fact that we all struggle with self-love, and I don’t think any young person has really figured it out yet.”
The model added that some fans expect her to have a perfect relationship with her body.
“It’s so funny that people just assume that. Did I say that? I never said that. You guys just say that. You posted that on me,” she said.
Addressing comments she’s received from fans, Ferreira continued, “It’s not radical for me to be wearing a crop top. [Comments like those are] just backhanded compliments. I’ve been doing this since I was 16. I’m 25.”
