Mortensen’s appearance on “Unwell Games” comes shortly after the premiere of season 4 of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” on Hulu and the release of a horrifying domestic dispute between him and his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Frankie Paul.

The Blast shared details about the video, in which Paul appears to assault Mortensen by pulling his hair, striking him, and even throwing metal chairs.

In the video, Mortensen is seen trying to distance himself from Paul while begging her to stop.

Mortensen and Paul’s tumultuous relationship has been explored in depth in past seasons of “SLOMW.” The release of his domestic dispute with Paul led him to speak out, according to Entertainment Weekly.

His representative shared that his previous relationship with Paul had reached a low point, prompting him to speak out.

“He was just hoping that if he says nothing, as he usually does, it would go away. He’s never done any kind of sit-down interview about his side,” the rep said. “He kind of just lets it all happen to him, and I think he realizes with the severity of everything now that he just can’t do that.”

Paul has faced intense backlash over the last few weeks, so much so that Disney pulled her previously filmed season of “The Bachelorette” from its schedule.

“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” the company’s statement read.

Cinnabon also cut ties with Paul, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” and “The Bachelorette,” according to The Blast.

“Cinnabon has made the decision to terminate its collaboration with ‘The Bachelorette’ and ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.’ Recent developments and allegations surrounding the lead cast member led us to reassess this collaboration as it no longer aligns with our brand values,” they said.

Paul commented on the cancellation of her season and expressed sadness over the unfolding situation.

“Just the timing is hard, and it’s a big deal. I feel like every premiere that I’ve experienced, I’ve never enjoyed fully, so this is another one… it’s extremely hard, and it took everything to get me here today,” she said.

Amid all of this, a source told PEOPLE that the cast of “SLOMOW” decided to pause production after learning Paul had been in another alleged domestic dispute with Mortensen in February 2026.

According to the insider, the cast wants Paul to address her alleged personal issues before she returns to work.

“None of the women want to be associated with her,” another source close to production told the outlet.

While the details of the alleged incident are still unclear, a Draper City Police Department spokesperson confirmed it was investigating a “domestic assault” incident involving the two.

The spokesperson revealed that both parties had accused the other of misconduct and that “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th.”
