For busy working women, the suit is often the easiest outfit to throw on in the morning. In general, this feature is not about interview suits for women, which should be as classic and basic as you get — instead, this feature is about the slightly different suit that is fashionable, yet professional. I think this bubblegum pink suit from Mango is so cute — but how do we feel about the black shoes?
I ask because I would not have thought that black goes well with a pink like this — although I couldn’t tel you why. I think this is one of the few cases where Mary Jane flats look great because the exposed skin leaves it from feeling too heavy. But then the question becomes: what other color shoes or belt is best to wear with light pink? A tan? A nude for you? Something slightly softer, like a gray or a dark brown? I can’t recall ever really pondering this before.
The suit itself is on the affordable side — the blazer, pants and waistcoat range from $89-$150. (The waistcoat is a halter, which I don’t recommend for most offices, but I’d love to hear your thoughts.) In good news, the suit is available in sizes 0-22 (EUR 32-54), and as well as in a pretty brown and ecru. Nordstrom also has the suit!
