Hayley Williams has released 17 new songs on her website, playable through a cute retro styled web player. The player is accessible with a code that fans receive via email after making a purchase from Hayley’s dye company, Good Dye Young. The landing page on her website also suggests fans “ask a friend for theirs” if they don’t have a code.
Aside from the indivual .mp3 tracks, the site shows a folder labeled “Misc” – inside are indeed several miscellaneous items: a side-stage video clip of a 2017 Phoenix performance, a recording of a child saying “I’m sorry that you’re going through something hard”, an image of a coloring book with what seem to be handwritten lyrics on the inside cover, and a mock-up of a t-shirt that reads “Hayley Williams is my favorite band”.
This release of new solo material comes hot on the heels of the 20th anniversary edition of Paramore’s debut album All We Know Is Falling. The special edition was released last Friday and marks the band’s first release since parting ways with Atlantic Records last December. The track list includes the first digital release of their four-song The Summer Tic EP, which was previously only available on CD.
You can easily find a code for the site via Google.
