Dunk & Egg Actors’ Next Projects After GOT Spin-off Revealed

Viewers are curious to know what’s next for the Dunk & Egg actors following the conclusion of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1. Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall is played by Peter Claffey, who is also known for his role in the Cillian Murphy-led Small Things Like These, as well as the TV series Wreck. Meanwhile, Dexter Sol Ansell plays Egg, the young boy who becomes Dunk’s squire. While the Game of Thrones spin-off has already been renewed for another season, here’s a look at the other projects the actors are set to appear in next.

Claffey is set to appear in an Irish Christmas comedy heist called You’ll Never Believe Who’s Dead, directed by Dallan Shovlin. It centers on an Irish family, who reunite at Christmas time and discuss how they could pull off a better heist. This discussion surfaces when a robbery in town goes extremely wrong. Apart from Claffey, other cast members include Ardal O’Hanlon, Michelle Fairley, Ruth Codd, Jacob McCarthy, Simone Kirby, and Stephen Rea. Moreover, he will also be a part of a TV movie,  Compound Fractures. There, he plays a nurse.

Ansell is involved in a drama movie named 500 Miles that will premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival on February 27, 2026. It follows the life of a grandfather who is estranged from his grandchildren, Charlie and Finn. However, the distance between them begins to close when the children decide to visit him. Other cast members include Roman Griffin Davis, Maisie Williams, Clare Dunne, and Michael Socha. The actor is known for his role as young Snow in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and his dual role in the Emmerdale series.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 2 is expected to premiere on HBO sometime in 2027.
