Emmy Sharrett Asks Lisa Barlow for Marriage Advice at BravoCon 2025

Emmy Sharrett came to BravoCon 2025 to promote Southern Hospitality, but she left with some welcomed marriage advice from Lisa Barlow.

“It is such a cool experience. I love meeting everyone,” Emmy, 27, exclusively told Us Weekly on Saturday, November 15, while in Las Vegas for the annual three-day fan convention.

Emmy noted that one of her most exciting run-ins was with The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Lisa, 50, and her husband, John Barlow.

“She was just so funny. When I saw [her] I was like, I just want to say, ‘Hi, baby, gorgeous,’” Emmy gushed, referring to Lisa’s iconic catchphrase.

When Emmy wasn’t fangirling over the RHOSLC power couple, she said she asked them “how they’ve made it through being a married couple on reality TV.”

Lisa told her, “‘It just makes you stronger.’ And just gave some marriage advice,” Emmy revealed. “She was very sweet.”

Lisa and John have weathered many storms throughout their 22-year marriage, some of which has made it onto RHOSLC.

During season 3 of the Bravo show, rumors surfaced that Lisa cheated on John, which he shut down immediately. During season 6 on RHOSLC, their relationship once again faced issues, including rebuilding “trust” and Lisa admitting she felt she was being “taken for granted.”

Emmy, meanwhile, is no stranger to dramatic reality TV relationships after highlighting her and fiancé Will Kulp’s romance on seasons 1 through 3 of Southern Hospitality.

During season 3 of the Bravo show, Will, 30, was accused of cheating on Emmy at his law school prom. While Will chose not to address the rumors on camera, Emmy was adamant to Us in January that he was “100 percent” faithful.

While Will got some heat from his cast members for skipping the season 3 reunion in February and seemingly leaving Emmy to defend their relationship, the couple are still going strong.

Although Will won’t be coming back for season 4, he proposed to Emmy in May and they are in full-on wedding planning mode.

“Wedding plans are going,” Emmy told Us on Saturday, hinting it was not an easy process. “It’s exhausting. It’s a lot.”

The reality star explained that after three of her high school friends planned weddings for next fall, she and Will are “still trying to find a date.”

Emmy, however, isn’t sweating the small stuff, explaining she plans to have a “long engagement” and embrace this phase of her relationship.

“You’re single for a long time. You’re married for a long time. Like, be engaged for a minute, you know?” she said. “I walk around [and] can just be like, ‘Oh my god, I just got engaged.’ And so it’s so fun.”

Emmy’s road to marriage isn’t the only thing she’s embracing this year. The Bravo star told Us that it’s been exciting to film Southern Hospitality without her significant other.

“It’s a lot easier talking for one person instead of two. I love Will. I love having him around, but I think the audience is really going to get to see Emmy Sharrett,” she teased of season 4 of the Southern Charm spinoff. “I get to really be myself and only think for myself instead of thinking for myself and my relationship and my fiancé. So, [I had a] lot of independence.”

Emmy insisted that Will is also happy that she is doing her own thing as he finishes up law school outside of the limelight.

“It was very refreshing,” Emmy said of Will’s decision to leave the show. “He’s in his third and final year. I don’t really know many people that go through law school while being on reality TV. [That’s a] lot to juggle.”

She pointed out that Will was at BravoCon this year to support her, which was “nice” after they faced so much backlash over his absence during their latest show reunion.

“He gets to be my fiancé, being supportive of my job here. I get to be supportive of him in law school. So we get to separate our jobs now,” Emmy added.
