Pixar’s latest animated release continues to perform strongly at the box office, maintaining momentum after its opening weekend. In contrast, the newest installment in the Scream franchise has seen sharp declines following its debut. The latest box office figures outline how both films are currently performing across domestic and worldwide markets.

Hoppers continues big box office success

Hoppers remained the No. 1 film at the domestic box office in its second weekend with $28,500,000 from 4,000 theaters, according to Box Office Mojo. The film maintained the top rank on the domestic chart for a second consecutive weekend following its debut.

The result represented a 37.2% decline from its $45,349,801 opening weekend while maintaining the top rank. After two weekends, the Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures release reached a domestic total of $86,800,900.

The animated adventure comedy opened with a per-theater average of $11,337 before posting a second weekend average of $7,125 across 4,000 locations. The film was released on March 6, 2026, and played in a wide release of 4,000 locations during its opening frame.

Hoppers carries a PG rating with a running time of 1 hour and 44 minutes. Worldwide grosses stand at $164,700,900, including $77,900,000 from international markets.

Scream 7 faces second major drop in third weekend

Scream 7 recorded another decline in its third weekend earning $8,350,000 domestically and ranking fourth, according to Box Office Mojo. The total marked a 50.9 percent drop from the second weekend figure of $17,012,337.

The second weekend had already dropped 73.3% from the $63,615,172 opening weekend. In its third weekend, the film played in 3,243 theaters, down 297 from its widest release of 3,540, bringing the domestic total to $106,547,102.

Scream 7 was released on February 27, 2026 by Paramount Pictures International with an R rating and a running time of 1 hour 54 minutes. International markets have contributed $70,400,000, bringing the worldwide total to $176,947,102.

The third weekend per-theater average was $2,574 from $8,350,000 across 3,243 theaters. The second weekend average was $4,805 from $17,012,337, while the opening weekend average reached $17,970 across 3,540 theaters.
