Taylor Swift has fans saying “tick tock on the clock” with a countdown appearing on her official website, seemingly suggesting a new era is imminent.
The clock, which appeared on Monday, August 11, is counting down until 12:12 a.m. ET on Tuesday, August 12. A sparkling orange background appears behind it.
“Expires August 12 at 12:12am ET,” the website reads currently as time ticks down.
Swift, 35, is known for associating colors with her new album “eras.” Earlier on Monday, the color orange also appeared on a post shared via the singer’s inhouse marketing team, Taylor Nation, via Instagram.
In the post’s carousel of photos, Swift can be seen rocking orange bodysuits, which she wore during her Eras Tour which wrapped up in December 2024.
“Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era…’ ❤️🔥.” the caption read.
Fans were also convinced that Swift is set to appear on the “New Heights” podcast, which is hosted by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason, after the NFL stars teased fans with an announcement on Monday.

“92%ers, we’re coming back early for a special episode with a VERY special guest,” the show posted via social media. “New episode Wednesday 7PM ET.”
The accompanying graphic also featured the color orange linked to her new era and showed Travis and Jason alongside a silhouette of the mystery guest. In the post, Jason appeared to be wearing Swift merchandise.
Referencing the shape of the silhouette in the graphic, one follower was convinced they could identify Swift as the mystery guest, writing “That’s 110% mother I can spot that outline from anywhere.”
Another follower picked up on the connection to Swift’s lucky number.
“And it’s premiering on the 13th?!?,” the fan wrote. “Come on now. Gotta be Tay.”
The “New Heights” podcast confirmed the speculation with an Instagram post shared later on Monday night with a clip of Swift in the podcast studio.
“Taylor’s about to do a f*cking podcast!” the caption read. “NEW EPISODE WEDS 7PM ET.”
Swifties have been waiting with bated breath for the next “era” to arrive, a term the singer uses to refer to each of her past and present albums that she’s released during her career.
She kicked off her mammoth 21-month Eras Tour in 2023 to pay tribute to each of her albums, starting from her 2006 self-titled debut until her latest addition, 2024’s The Tortured Poets Department.
“Every part of you that you’ve ever been, every phase you’ve ever gone through, was you working it out in that moment with the information you had available to you at the time,” Swift told TIME in December 2023. “You should celebrate who you are now, where you’re going, and where you’ve been.”
With Swift notorious for dropping clues for fans to find, her music-lovers have had their eyes open looking for Easter eggs hinting at her highly anticipated next era.
