The network’s former CEO reportedly took one of his luxurious cars for a spin when he crashed into a BMW from behind, resulting in the latter crashing into a wooden guardrail.  

Another oncoming car from the southern direction, unfortunately, rammed into debris from the rear-ended car, bringing the number of casualties in the incident to three.

Local authorities at the scene confirmed that the cars had no passengers in them and all three drivers fastened their seatbelts, thus preventing severe injuries. 

The 79-year-old was promptly issued a misdemeanor summons for his careless conduct due to the wheels and his proximity to the car in front of him, causing the collision.

As reported by NBC Los Angeles, the TV legend was released after he posted a $500 bond and will appear in Stamford Superior Court on August 26.

McMahon joined hundreds of WWE legends to pay their final tributes to the talented entertainer who passed on from cardiac arrest at his Florida home. The WWE’s former chairman stressed on X that Hogan’s death was a blow and the world had lost a treasure who left his mark on the hearts of many.

“Hulk Hogan was the greatest WWE Superstar of ALL TIME, someone who was loved and admired around the world. He was a trailblazer, the first performer who transitioned from being a wrestling star into a global phenomenon,” McMahon added.

He admired his “grit and unbridled thirst for success,” which remained apparent till his death, judging from the multiple business ventures he left behind. McMahon added that the late wrestler sacrificed everything for the love of the game and entertained the audience to the best of his abilities.

“He leaves us with one of his favorite expressions, ‘Train, take your vitamins and say your prayers.’ Today, we pray for him,” McMahon concluded.

Hogan and McMahon shared a very personal relationship, which experienced tension from time to time, including a period when Hogan left WWE for its rival, WCW. As noted by The Sportster, a very crucial action from Hogan marked a significant highlight in their friendship.

In 1993, McMahon was indicted and charged with possession of illegal steroids with intent to distribute, conspiring to distribute steroids, among other allegations. 

Several wrestlers reportedly took the stand and testified against McMahon, confirming that he asked them to take steroids for performance enhancement.

However, Hogan went a different route with his testimony, stating that while he indulged in steroids, it was never an order or suggestion from McMahon. He was the star witness at the time, and his testimony ultimately absolved McMahon from a looming 15-year sentence.

The late wrestler also previously admitted that he was coerced into testifying against his former boss at the time, but his testimony in the dock did not actualize their ill intentions against McMahon.

The wrestler left a chunk of milestones untouched before his sudden passing, and among them is his soon-to-be-released documentary, which captured his life in ways that have never been seen. 

As reported by The Blast, the late wrestler has been involved in the production since last year and was thrilled to share that side of himself with the world.

Now that he is gone, Netflix is more determined than ever to release the project since Hogan already left enough material for them to work with. Hogan reportedly left about 20 hours of unseen interviews and 30 hours of scene shots to help them with the production.

Although there is no official release date for the project, Hogan’s body language towards it during his lifetime suggests that he would love to get it released to the public. Netflix may, however, have to reframe some parts of the story, given the tragic death of its main character.
