This is not a drill.
A Florida man was arrested this week for allegedly threatening beachgoers with drill and even telling one person, “I’m going to kill you.”
The bizarre situation erupted on Wednesday when Yacov Levi wedged his way onto a private Surfside condo’s beachfront property, according to an arrest affidavit.
Levi, 50, “asked to sit on a beach chair,” but was turned down because “he doesn’t live here,” authorities said.
That’s when he allegedly “became irate” and tried to swing a beach umbrella at another person.
That’s when he allegedly “grabbed a drill and charged” at a man while raging, “I’m going to kill you,” police said.
Witnesses claimed they saw him “running with the drill” down the stretch of waterfront, the report said.
Wild bodycam footage captured Levi’s arrest, showing several officers raising Tasers at the man while he sat on the private condo’s beach chairs.
As officers attempted to move him, Levi rolled on the ground and kicked an officer in the legs, police said.
He also allegedly used the drill “with a large sand digging bit attached to it” to drive a hole into a beach chair in front of cops, causing about $500 in damage.
Levi was arrested and charged with attempted aggravated battery and battery on a law enforcement officer, both felonies, as well as misdemeanor criminal mischief.
It’s not Levi’s first beachfront arrest. He was busted in 2023 for allegedly trying to steal a jet ski while naked but the case was later dropped.
